20-Jul-2017 : Market is at all time high. It doesn’t mean that it can’t move from here onward. Though, we have to bear in mind that there may be a possibility of a correction in near future. Then the imminent question in mind whether we will be investing in this market or wait for the correction. The answer isn’t simple. The market may move up substantially before see a correction. Or it may also happen that it may correct the next day of your investment. Those, who have the appetite to take high risk high gain, can move ahead and bet their money. But for the others, the other International Markets may be a place to have a look. Though, it is not possible for everyone to put money in world market directly, the Mutual Fund route is open for everyone.

Below are the few mutual funds available, which invest in the international market and can be considered for investing.

Mirae Asset China Advantage Fund : This is basically a fund of funds schema that primarily invests in units of the master fund Mirae Asset China Sector Leader Equity Fund and/or units of the mutual fund schemas, unit of ETFs investing in equities and equity related securities of companies domiciled in or having their area of primary activity in China and Hong Kong. In the last one year, this mutual fund has given a return of 24.9%.

Edelweiss Greater China Equity Offshore Fund : The primary investment objective of this mutual fund is to provide long term capital appreciation by investing in JPMorgan Funds – Greater China Fund, an equity fund which invests primarily in a diversified portfolio of companies that are domiciled in, or carrying out the main part of their economic activity in, a country of Greater China region. In the last one year, this fund has given a return of 23.1%.

Franklin Asian Equity Fund :  This mutual fund invests in Asian companies or sectors (excluding Japan) with long term potential across market capitalization range. In the last one year, this fund has given a return of 21.4%.

ICICI Prudential US Bluechip Equity Fund : ICICI Prudential US Bluechip Equity Fund is an open-ended equity scheme primarily investing in select `Bluechip Companies’ listed on stock exchanges of the United States of America. In the last one year, this fund has given a return of 9%.

MOSt Shares NASDAQ 100 : Motilal Oswal MOSt Shares NASDAQ-100 ETF is an open ended Index Exchange Traded Fund that seeks investment return that corresponds (before fees and expenses) generally to the performance of the NASDAQ-100 Index.  In the last one year, this fund has given a return of 21.1%.

 

Franklin US Opportunities Fund : This fund gives Indian investors an opportunity to invest in US companies through the Franklin U.S. Opportunities Fund. It provides investors with exposure to the U.S. economy, by investing in leading growth companies across industries and market-caps. In the last one year, this fund has given a return of 14.9%.

 

DSP BlackRock US Flexible Equity Fund : The primary investment objective of the Scheme is to seek capital appreciation by investing predominantly in units of BlackRock Global Funds US Flexible Equity Fund (BGF – USFEF). The Scheme may, at the discretion of the Investment Manager, also invest in the units of other similar overseas mutual fund schemes, which may constitute a significant part of its corpus. The Scheme may also invest a certain portion of its corpus in money market securities and/ or money market/ liquid schemes of DSP BlackRock Mutual Fund, in order to meet liquidity requirements from time to time.  In the last one year, this fund has given a return of 13.5%.
